UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI PADOVA - DIPARTIMENTO DI PROCESSI CHIMICI DELL'INGEGNERIA
Description of the organisation
The Department of Chemical Process Engineering fosters, manages and carries out scientific, training activities mainly dedicated to the Industrial Chemical Engineering sector. Indeed, it takes special care of innovation and research bearing potential immediate application on industry.
Particularly, research on technologies for the environment and the recovering of waste into raw material is strategic. Biotechnologies in the bio-medical, food fields, as well as quality management of process are growing more and more importance in the Department’s portfolio of activities.
The Department has an important focus on environment, from a management perspective. It carries out wide applied research on environmental management systems and has opened specific training courses. Part of the research is also dedicated to the study and refining of combustion, which has apparent application on energy production technologies. A further element of scientific growth is due to research carried out in the field of co-ordination, and metal-organic chemistry for the development of innovative chemical processes.
List of most relevant project
The Department has a well-known experience, beside the basic lecturing activity of university courses, in setting up and managing post-graduate education and professional training. Its professors teach regularly both in university lectures and masters or other courses. This is a short list of the main post-graduate training initiative born within the Department of Chemical Process Engineering (University of Padova):
